Shelly looked over at me, a conflicted look on her face and instantly I felt guilty.

“I’m not serious,” I blurted out, hoping the horror I saw on her face didn’t make her think less of me. “I was joking,” I swore, though I felt my stomach twist when I said it, because I hadn’t been. Shelly blinked and looked down at her Long Island Ice Tea and took another long pull. Her face was flushed and I knew she’d already had a bit too much.

We were at the bar and I looked at our reflections in the mirror opposite. Shelly looked suave and urban, her long blonde hair straight except for where it bobbed at the ends. She was dressed in white blouse and dark brown leather skirt that showed off her curves to her advantage. Not that I was interested, mind you. I didn't swing that way.

My own image was somewhat different. My brunette locks curled just beneath my chin, making my already boyish looks something of a non-starter. I was wearing a shapeless blue hoodie that seemed to melt seamlessly into the tight yoga pants that I preferred. Where Shelly wore sexy high heels, I had on flats.

I frowned and looked down in misery at my glass of ice water. It was all I could afford, and while Shelly had offered to buy me a drink, I was already abusing her friendship enough. I glanced around the bar. It wasn’t that busy, since it was a weekday, even in a college town, and while there were a few guys in the place who I might have been willing to approach, I knew the reality. Their eyes would be on Shelly. Not the frumpy looking brunette next to her. Which undermined my declaration that all I needed to do was find a rich guy who was willing to give me a place to sleep in exchange for getting laid.

Oh… and food. A place to wash my clothes. To keep my books. You know… survive?

“If I had the money I’d give it to you,” Shelly whispered into her glass.

“Shelly, I know, but even if you did, I wouldn't ask it of you.” I took a miserable sip. Evidently, she was still upset. The look on her face made it clear that she was tearing herself apart. “Shelly, seriously. This is my problem,” I declared more forcefully. “I will find a solution. Even if it means...” My voice trailed off as I waved my hand.

She glanced around the room, cataloguing the available men, eyes widening and I rolled my eyes. “I meant to go back to my parent’s place.”

She drew her gaze back to me and shook her head, looking appalled. “No! Taylor, you can't go back! Not to that environment,” she declared.

She wasn’t wrong. Going back to my parents’ house would have been unwise. Sex in exchange for a bed was definitely a better option, if not a realistic one under the circumstances. She took a quick sip of her drink, as if steeling herself. “There's... There's another option,” she said, almost as if she couldn't believe she was telling me. My eyebrow went up.

“Yeah,” I said bitterly, nursing my cup of water. “The homeless shelter.”

She shook her head. “You need something long term, so you can stay in school! Tuition is paid for. You just need a place to stay...”

I frowned. “And food to eat, and a way to wash clothes, and...”

She twisted on her stool as if suddenly making a decision. “Taylor, there's an apartment,” she declared.

I blinked. “An apartment,” I repeated, just a little oblivious. “Shelly, I can't afford a hamburger from the student union. There's no way I can afford an apartment.”

She gritted her teeth. “No, it's...” Her fingers clenched. “Arghh, how do I explain this?” She took another, much longer sip of her drink. “I need to be drunk to even suggest this as an option,” she muttered, then took the straw out, tossed it on the bar, and grabbed her glass. My eyes widened in shock as she downed the entire thing in like three gulps, looked at me with wild eyes and then waved at the bartender. He did over, looked at her, but then shrugged. Then he made her another Long Island Ice Tea.

“Um... Four?” I asked with concern. She usually stopped at two. She’d offered to buy me a drink, but I’d refused on principle. She was already doing my laundry, sneaking it into the house so her mother wouldn’t see. That afternoon, at the student union cafeteria, she’d bought a huge lunch, a single purchase on her mother’s credit card, so that the harridan wouldn’t know that she was feeding two. It had saved my stomach from being wrapped around my spine, throttling it.

“I might need five of these,” she declared, tapping her fingers nervously against her empty glass. “Because I'm fucking insane to even be suggesting something so outrageous.” She finished the sentence as her fourth drink of the night was put in front of her. She grabbed it, tossed the straw, and took another long gulp.

I made a face. “My God, Shelly. What the hell are you about to propose? That I sell my soul or something?”

She gulped and turned toward me on her stool. “Or something,” she said, a little high-pitched. “Taylor, if things weren't so desperate, I’d never, ever, ever suggest this, but there's an apartment.”

My eyes narrowed, even more confused. “You are drunk. You're repeating yourself.”

“It's a three bedroom. The apartment. The other occupants are looking for a roommate.”

I let out a frustrated sigh. She was drunk. I shook my head and nursed my water. It tasted like I felt. “Shelly, I can't afford anything right now. Even split three ways, an apartment is going to cost me hundreds.”

Shelly took another gulp of her drink. “All costs of room and board covered by the other occupants provided one single condition is met.” She pulled out her phone and started scrolling, looking for something.

“Free room and board?” I asked suspiciously. “What's the condition? I cook and clean for them?” I scoffed. “That I service them sexually?” It came out with a snort, but Shelly looked up, eyes aghast. Her cheeks were ruddy. Her gaze flickered left and right. “I'm sorry!” She whispered. “Forget I said anything.” She shoved her phone into her bag. “I'm ... I'm getting an Uber. See you tomorrow?”

I frowned. I still had two days before I'd be out on the street. I nodded. “Okay.” She smiled sadly, then wobbled off. I sat at the bar for another ten minutes, half hoping the right guy would swing by, see me sitting there, and offer to buy me a drink. But I knew it wasn't going to happen. Not the way I was dressed. I took a deep breath, downed my water, and headed for the door.

I was thirty minutes into my walk home when my phone chirped. I hauled it out, knowing that even that luxury was soon to disappear. I swiped at the screen and saw a message. From Shelly. Just a link. I clicked on it.

WANTED: Female roommate wanted to share a three bedroom apartment, half mile from University. Private bedroom, shared 2 bath, kitchen. Even split or freeuse considerations. Apply at ...

There was a number.

There was no way I could handle an even split, but what kind of considerations would be necessary for me to get free use of the place? I considered it. Obviously I was going to need a job anyway. Would doing the laundry of three guys, cleaning up after them, even cooking meals for them, be worth a place for me to live, just to finish out the school year, find a job, and get my life in order?

Maybe. I put the phone away. Well, it could wait for morning at least.

That night, worry and stress gnawed at me so much that I awoke feeling like crap. My insides were turned inside out and I got dressed for the day much earlier than usual. I headed out after eating the granola bar I pilfered from my land lady’s kitchen and made my way over to the college, finding a solitary table at the student union to nurse my woes. I knew calling at six in the morning would be rude, but it was hard to wait. And I had an eight o’clock class. So I split the difference at seven and dialed the number.

“Uhhh…” said a sleepy voice. “Hello?”

Excitement, or maybe just desperation surged through me as I grasped hold of the lifeline. “Hi. Uh… yes. My name is Taylor and I’m interested in the apartment,” I said, pausing. “Um… with the free use considerations.”

The silence was intense. Then his voice came back much more awake. “Really?” He said in surprise.

“Yes,” I said. “I just need the particulars.”

There was another long pause. “The particulars? Oh, well… there’s three of us. We’re all juniors. Clean and healthy.”

I blinked and looked at my phone. “Um… yeah? Okay.” I said a little oddly.

“Anyway, for us to offer the considerations we need to see you,” he said more good naturedly. “In person. Obviously.”

“To tell me about the considerations?” I asked, just a little confused.

“Well yeah. I mean, it's an expense for us right? So just like you need to see the apartment, we need to see you.”

I cocked my head to the side. “I guess that makes sense,” I said a bit slowly.

“We will all be here this evening, starting at around four-thirty. Can you swing by then?”

I could. I got out of classes at three. But I didn’t know if my nerves could handle that much wait time. Even this little hope was like a freaking beacon glowing in the darkness.  “Is there anything this morning?” I asked, somewhat desperately.

“Uhhh… well, I guess you could come by at ten. We’ll have about forty-five minutes before Jason has to leave again, but it shouldn’t take long for all of us to see each other and decide if an arrangement is workable.”

Hope surged through me. I’d have to skip a class, but under the circumstances I could handle that. “Ten is great. I’ll be there! What’s the address?”

He gave it to me. Sure enough, it was about a ten minute walk from the University. “Okay, I got it,” I told him.

“Cool. Great. See you then,” he said. “I hope you’re cute.”

I blinked. “What?”

“What?”

“Uh…” I said. “Nothing.” I bit my lip. “What’s your name?” I asked.

“Me? Oh. My name is Tavarius. You can call me T.”

“Um… okay,” I said. “And thank you. I’m a little desperate right now,” I said, letting just a little of my plight into my voice.

He paused. “We like desperate,” he assured me, which was a very, very weird response. “See you at ten, Taylor.” Then he hung up.

My eight to nine class was excruciating. I couldn’t pay attention. I couldn’t focus. And I was hungry. Never good combinations. I decided to skip my next class as well because I knew there was no way I was going to be able to push aside my personal problems in order to focus on the lecture and instead I wandered over to the geology building. The professors’ office lobby had a bowl of apples sitting out, clearly for waiting students, and I grabbed two and high-tailed it out of there before anyone saw me.

Then, munching on a Red Delicious, I headed toward Tavarius’ apartment complex. Two hours early.

I found it in about ten minutes and was mildly impressed. The place was not extravagant, but it certainly looked nice. The landscaping was well-maintained, there was a pretty decent sized pool, the club house was large and inviting, and there was plenty of parking. I walked around the whole place. There was even some outdoor seating that I plopped down in, opening my bag and getting out a book. I mean, I was here at least. Maybe I could use some of the time to study?

That proved pointless, so I tried calling Shelly. No answer. I shook my head. She was probably hung over from the night before. She tended to get headaches when she drank too much and her mother was a righteous bitch who treated her daughter like crap. It was one of the reasons I hadn’t been offered the couch at Shelly’s place. Because Shelly didn’t even want to live there. But at least her mother wasn’t about to kick her out of the place for non-payment. I sighed, kicked my heels together, and suddenly wished I’d dressed a little nicer. Appearances were important. I looked down at myself and frowned.

A frumpy tee shirt, my hoodie, and a pair of really old blue jeans didn’t exactly make me look like a responsible individual. They made me look sloppy. I tried to ask myself if that would be a mark for, or against me? I was still wearing my slip-on flats. I sighed. This was me. They’d have to accept that, or it would never work anyway. I wasn’t like Shelly, who revelled in looking beautiful all the time. I wasn’t opposed to running a comb through my hair, but my idea of dressing for success was a cap and gown. Everything up to that point should be about comfort.

Time seemed to crawl and five minutes to ten I couldn’t handle it any more. I got up, eyes on the right building, and headed that way. I trudged up the stairs. It was evidently a third story apartment, which made sense, considering the number. Those are generally cheaper and three college boys, even if they were upperclassmen, needed the price cut. I wondered how much the place actually cost. Three bedrooms and two baths wasn’t going to be cheap.

“Excuse me,” said a voice behind me. I turned and saw a young man look up at me with a polite smile. He had cream colored skin, a dark head of hair, and a winsome smile. A light blue polo shirt and khaki pants made him look like a golfer. I stepped to the side, pressing myself against the rail. He was moving faster than me.

“Thank you,” he said, our eyes meeting for half a second. Then he kept going up. I paused, my fingers curled tightly on the railing and then when I saw him going all the way to the third floor, I gritted my teeth. What if that was one of the guys?

I almost turned around, which under the circumstances, would have been dumber than dirt, so I put a little steel into my step and continued up the stairs, but at a much slower pace. That way if the guy who passed me was one of my future roommates, he’d get to the apartment and go in about thirty seconds before I knocked. I heard a door open, then shut, just as I made it to the landing. My eyes flickered to the signage, then headed down the same direction I’d heard the door.

Two thirty-two. I raised my fist and rapped on the door with my knuckles. I started counting in my head and made it to three before the door opened and I was faced with the exact same person who had passed me on the stairs.

“Hello again,” he said pleasantly.

I put on a wooden smile, trying not to sound like a fucking idiot. “Hi. Sorry about that. My name is Taylor and I’m here about the apartment.”

The young man nodded, but his eyes flickered up and down my body. I blinked, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He wasn’t leering or anything, but I certainly felt like I was being judged. Physically. I gave him a questioning look, but then he smiled.

“Yes,” he said, much more positively. “That’s fantastic,” he said, stepping back out of the doorway. “I’m Jason. Come on in.”

Ah… the elusive Jason. Tavarius had mentioned him..

The apartment was clean. And bright. And the furniture was relatively new. There were plants. In fact, I started to get some definitive gay vibes, right then and there. The living room had a couch, a love seat, and an easy chair and surprisingly the focus of the room wasn’t exclusively the television set, which was a large flat panel on the wall. I glanced around. No pizza boxes. No food left out. The kitchen appeared clean and orderly. Jason took the lead and showed me in. I followed him into the kitchen.

“Can I get you a drink?”

I blinked. “Um… sure. What do you have?”

He let out a laugh. “Water, soda, tea, coffee, though that will take me a little time to make,” he said, walking into the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and looked in. “Let’s see… there’s still some lemonade and some protein shakes…”

I pounced. “Protein shake?” I begged. I tried not to, but even with one apple and a granola bar, I was still hungry. Jason looked up at me, just a little surprised, but he shrugged, reached in, and pulled out a dark chocolate flavored box and handed it to me. My stomach lurched in sudden appreciation and I quickly unscrewed the cap and drank.

All of it.

Jason blinked, but then Tavarius came out of the back bedroom.

At least, I presumed it was Tavarius. The name was sort of a give away, and the guy was black. Good looking too, though on a different spectrum than Jason. Tavarius was clearly not football player material, but he was fit and trim, with some impressive musculature on his arms and legs. He was wearing a tee shirt and some basketball shorts, though he wasn’t tall enough to do them justice. He wasn’t cute in the sense of attractive, but he was energetic. Like a live wire that you knew would be exciting if grabbed. Barefoot and smiling, he surged across the living room into the kitchen, hand extended.

“You’re Taylor?” He asked.

I smiled and shook his hand. “You must be Tavarius,” I replied, starting to feel a whole lot more comfortable.

“That’s me. Luis will be out in a moment,” he said.

I paused. Luis? There was a third guy? I glanced around. Three bedrooms. Four people? I looked over both of the young men in front of me, trying to figure out which of them was gay. Then I blinked. Well duh. They both probably were. I mean, it made sense, right?

Tavarius glanced around the living space and gestured. “So what do you think?”

I knew what he was asking. Was the apartment acceptable? Hell yes it was acceptable. I would have been fine with a freaking hole in the ground if I didn’t have to pay for it. The question for me wasn’t going to be if the apartment amenities were good, it was going to be what kind of considerations I would get for free use of the apartment.

“It’s very pretty,” I said.

Which is when Luis came out. Hispanic. Beard. Slightly overweight but still a good looking kid. He was tall. Much taller than either Tavarius or Jason and the multi-racial group got even weirder on my social radar. He stepped up as I tried sucking the last of the protein shake mix out of the box and licked my lips.

“Well,” Jason said. “Would you like to see your room?”

Which implied that I was acceptable to them. Cool. “Sure,” I said, shrugging. I glanced around the kitchen. “Trash?” I asked.

Tavarius pointed to a cabinet and I opened it. Trash can. White plastic bag. And it was mostly empty, which means that someone had taken the trash out. That morning. Cool. I deposited my debris and turned and smiled. “Lead on.”

They took me across the apartment to the front bedroom and I stepped in. It was a decent sized room, clearly not the master of course, but not bad. It shared a bathroom with the second bedroom. The bed was a queen and it filled the room, almost to the point where there wasn’t room for a desk.

“That’s a huge bed,” I muttered.

Jason, who was standing in the hall behind me, snorted. “Well, duh.” I eyed him curiously, then continued my inspection.

“No desk?” I asked, sounding just a little disappointed.

Luis glanced at Jason. They exchanged a look. Then Jason nodded. “We can provide a desk if you’d like. As part of the considerations.”

I let out a short laugh. “You’d have to,” I said sincerely. “Got to have a place to sit and study.” They seemed to relax a little. “How much does a place like this cost?” I asked curiously.

Tavarius smiled. “Rent is nineteen hundred. A little low, but we got it discounted because Jason’s uncle is the manager. But that’s with utilities paid.”

I blinked. That was low? Nineteen hundred split four ways meant four seventy-five a month. Almost five hundred dollars each!

“Then we all pitch in another hundred for incidentals,” added Jason. “Toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap. That sort of thing.”

“Five seventy-five?” I gasped. It was starting to look like those “considerations” were going to be even more important than I thought. What the hell were they going to ask me to do to cover five hundred dollars a month? Would I even have time to study if I was cooking, cleaning and doing the laundry? I stepped back out into the hallway feeling anxious.

“This is my room here,” Tavarius said, moving up next to me. I looked in. A little more chaotic than the rest of the apartment, but still clean. Tavarius was sleeping on a twin. It was unmade, but not a wreck. I checked the bathroom between the two rooms. He had a toothbrush in a holder, and bottles in the shower, but otherwise, the place was nice. It also answered the question about partners. Luis and Jason had to be sharing a bed if they were in the master bedroom together.

“Okay. I’m ready to discuss considerations,” I declared. The three young men seemed to stiffen slightly, and then Jason led the way back into the living room. All three took seats, Jason and Luis sitting on opposite ends of the couch, while Tavarius took the love seat. This left me standing by the coffee table. Feeling a little nervous, I sat down on the easy chair, the only spot still available without seeming to be overly familiar.

Jason cleared his throat. “Well, if the apartment is to your satisfaction, I think I can say for all three of us that you appear to be a good fit. Physically.”

I blinked. Second time that word had been used. I repeated it, questioningly. “Physically?”

Tavarius grinned, nodding. “Absolutely. Cute as a button. You could use some help in the attire department, but that’s obviously not an issue here at the apartment, is it? I mean, it’s not like you’ve got to dress up for the role.”

I scratched my head, getting even more confused. “Uh. No. I guess not.”

“What’s your major?” Luis asked. No sign of an accent.

“Engineering,” I said, feeling like I was on the hot seat. “Electrical.”

“Cool,” he replied. “GPA?”

My eyebrow went up. “Three point six,” I replied automatically, without wondering why my grade point average would matter. Maybe they just wanted to be sure that someone reasonably studious was living with them.

“Sexual orientation? Hetrosexual or bi?” Jason asked. “Just for confirmation.”

I crossed my arms, feeling just a little put off. “Why does that matter? Would you feel comfortable if I asked you guys that same question?” I demanded.

Tavarius laughed and glanced at Luis and Jason. “Y’all give’n off gay vibes.” He teased them.

Jason blinked, then looked at me sheepishly. “Oh. We aren’t together,” he said, pointing at Luis, who also shook his head negatively. “We’re all straight.”

Which made the whole thing even weirder. “Oookay.” I replied. But then the weight of my financial problems surged back through my gut. Which made the chocolate protein shake do some uncomfortable tidal surging. I swallowed. “Well, I don’t see how it matters, but I’m straight too.” I held up my hand. “But I’m not looking for a relationship. That’s not on the table.”

They all looked very relieved at that statement.

Jason nodded. “That’s perfect. Exactly what we want,” he said quickly. Tavarius nodded.

“Okay. Fine. Then I guess I just need to hear the considerations.”

The boys looked at each other, eye questioning. Then Tavarius shrugged. “Well, um… in order for us to offer you the apartment, we just need to uh…” he gestured at me. Head to toe. “See.”

Jason and Luis both stared at me.

I sat there in the chair, bewildered. We stared at each other for a moment. “See…?” I asked slowly.

Tavarius nodded. “You.”

“You need to see me?” I asked carefully.

Tavarius’ eyebrow went up. “Well, yeah. Obviously. I mean, we’re providing room and board basically. That’s an added expense and we want to make sure that what we are getting in exchange isn’t, you know…” He pointed. “Got anything extra.”

Luis smiled. “Not that we dislike trans. It’s just not our gig.”

I blinked. “I’m not trans!” I declared. “I’m just… tomboyish!” A rush of anger flooded through me.

Tavarius shrugged. “Good to hear it. But still, you want considerations for freeuse, then you got to show us the goods. All of it.”

“What goods?” I demanded, still befuddled. What the hell were they talking about?

Luis leaned forward, a concerned look on his face. “Wait. Taylor, what do you think ‘freeuse’ means?”

Tavarius suddenly looked shocked and Jason groaned.

“That I’d have to do chores or something for free use of the apartment. What the hell else would it mean?”

Tavarius rolled his eyes. “I’m sorry,” he said, but not to me. To Jason and Luis. He turned. “Taylor, there’s been a misunderstanding. And not to put too fine a point on it, but ‘freeuse’ is a term used in certain communities to imply a sexual relationship. In this instance, we would provide accommodations in exchange for you adopting a freeuse attitude here at the apartment.”

I sat there stunned. I’d never heard of this. Ever. “Freeuse?” I said in total bewilderment.

Tavarius nodded. “Basically, you give consent to all three of us to have sex with you anytime you are here in the apartment. Regardless of what you’re doing, we can just come up and uh… get ‘free use’ of your mouth or pussy. Any time we want. That’s what free use means. And in exchange, you get to live here until you don’t want to.”

I sat there, mouth agape. Shocked. Frozen. Flabbergasted. Appalled.

Fucking Shelly! I was going to kill her.

Jason nodded. “Which is why we want to see you naked before we agree. You’re really, really cute, but I need to see the rest of the package.” He gestured at my body.

I surged to my feet and looked at Tavarius. “You were right. There has been a mistake,” I declared. “I apologize for wasting your time. Thank you for the protein shake.” It came out sort of snappish. I turned and headed straight for the entry. All three of them jumped up, but none of them said anything. I got there ahead of everyone else, yanked the door open, and stepped out onto the balcony walk. I didn’t say another word. I just scurried. I didn’t even shut the door.

“Taylor!” Tavarius called out. “Wait!”

But I didn’t. I broke out into a fast walk. There was no fucking way I was going to lay on my back, spread my legs, and be their little whore.

“Taylor!” he called again. “WAIT!”

I ran. Pounding down the steps. I heard Tavarius again but I ignored it.

I made it all of three blocks when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I scrambled at it, my heart in my throat. Shelly. It had to be. And boy was I about to give her a piece of my mind!

But it was an unknown phone number. Vaguely familiar. I opened the message.

“This is Tavarius. You left your backpack.”

***

Shelly wasn’t answering her phone so I pounded on the door of her mother’s house. It opened up and the harridan stared down at me.

“What do you want?” She asked. Not “hello, how are you?” or “Hi. Shelly is asleep right now,” or “please come in. I’ll get my daughter.” All things considered, I found it really weird that she considered me a bad influence on her daughter, who evidently knew exactly what “freeuse” was.

“I need to speak to her. It’s an emergency,” I said, trying to reign in my anger.

“She’s sleeping. She’s sick.”

I rolled my eyes. “She’s not sick. She’s hungover!” I protested. “Really! I need to speak with her.”

“Go away,” the harridan said, shutting the door in my face.

“Arrggggh!” I screamed, kicking the stoop. Then I sat down. I pulled my phone out again, ignoring the text message and calling Shelly’s phone for the eighteenth time. She must have forgotten to plug it in, or left it in the car or something. It went to voicemail.

“Shelly! You need to call me!” I shouted up at her bedroom window. “I went to that damn apartment! You knew! You knew what they wanted!” No response. I snarled something unintelligible.. I turned away from her house and started walking.

What the fucking hell was I going to do?

All of my previous stress came back onto me like a ton of bricks. No place to sleep tomorrow. No food. I grimaced. The pain of losing hope was actually even more acute as I realized I’d pumped myself up with Shelly’s proposed solution. It was crazy! I lurched back toward the University, holding it together by pure grit, only to fall apart the second I found a lonely bench. I sank down, curled forward, and bawled.

It took me ten minutes to get it all out. Finally I sat there, panting and hiccuping, wiping snot from my nose, my face blotchy. I tugged out my phone again, already dialing Shelly’s phone, but then I stopped. Despair had opened up like a chasm in front of me. My head felt light and I was just a tad bit dizzy. I opened the app for the internet and with unsteady fingers I typed.

And what I found was… disturbing as fuck.

There was an entire community of people who adopted this sort of bizarre sexual lifestyle. Rather than engaging in normal relationships, someone who lived a  “freeuse” existence set aside the common standards and allowed themselves to be available in a sexually casual manner. And I mean casual. As if sex was on the same level as making a cup of coffee. No foreplay required, though evidently that was more of a taste perspective. For girls who elected to be “freeuse,” their partners basically had carte blanche to do anything they wanted, anytime they wanted, and even more disturbing, anywhere they wanted. Though I guess there were some limitations, since I figured local laws probably prevented too many fucks in the public park.

There were videos. Lots and lots of videos, but to me they just looked like standard staged porn. Some cute girl would be lounging on the sofa, reading a book, looking for all the world like she was studying or something, while wearing cute little shorts and some hunk of a guy would come up, tug her bottoms off and then put his head between her legs, licking her pussy for a minute or two before slipping upward and fucking her. And she’d just keep reading and take it, seemingly ignoring the fact that she was getting screwed. At least, at first. Some of the girls got into it eventually.

Other videos had hot, sexy gamer girls, usually a pair of them, laying on the floor of the living room, game controllers in hand, wearing outfits that were borderline indecent and no self-respecting non-porn actress would be caught dead in, when some guy just walked up, yanked one of the girl’s bottoms down and stuck his dick in. She’d make a show of trying to continue playing the game while getting banged from behind. Then, as if fucking one girl wasn’t enough, the guy would switch girls, dipping his wick in both wells. Yuck! And who plays video games laying on the floor?

There were even a few “freeuse” males, though I suspected that these were just more paid actors at a porn site with wish fulfillment fantasies. Some guy would be surrounded by a gaggle of hot, busty women with huge lips and tits and lipstick and they’d basically just use the guy for sex. I couldn’t help wondering if they were slipping him some sort of erectile dysfunction medication to help him keep it up. One guy, pleasing five women? Non-stop? Sounded to me like someone’s juvenile dreamworld.

I took a deep breath. What would it be like? Tavarius was something of a hunk, and Jason was cute. Really cute. And Luis wasn’t ugly or anything. He just needed to drop about twenty pounds. With the right personality, I might have thought about dating him. Not that I was dating. I hadn’t been on a date with anyone in months. It wasn’t that I was uninterested, it was just that I had been (and still was) an emotional wreck. Who wanted to take someone who was super-stressed out on a date? I didn’t want to inflict myself on anyone but Shelly.

Because clearly she deserved it. Freaking tart!

In hindsight, it all seemed kind of stupid. Dating might have meant meals. But then I cringed at that thought. I didn’t want to use a man like that. It seemed so…

Transactional.

I froze, gulping at the thought. I’d actually considered it. Doing my makeup. Dressing nice. Letting him take me out for dinner. Conversation. Decisions. Back to his place. A kiss. Maybe something more? Give and take. He’d get my body and I’d get a meal and a place to sleep. I licked my lips and swallowed hard. And that was the point, right? Transaction. I closed my eyes. I had one more night at my current residence and that was it. I didn’t even know what I was going to do for lunch, much less dinner. What options did I have?

I held my phone and it felt heavy. Like hundreds of pounds. Slowly I opened the messages. My fingers felt numb and jittery. They shook as I typed. First, an apology. Then a question. A plea. A hope. Just to get the details. The facts. What, precisely, would be required?

And Tavarius’s message was “yes.”

***

For the second time that day I trudged up the stairs of the apartment complex. I hadn’t gone to a single class all day and frankly, I was hungry. It was three-twenty in the afternoon and the second apple I’d eaten was pretty much digested and gone. I wasn’t starving yet, but if Jason offered me another protein shake I was almost certainly going to agree. I hadn’t changed. I was still wearing the hoodie, my frumpy tee shirt, and my blue jeans. They’d already seen me in them and I had a suspicion that dressing in something a little more attractive wasn’t going to change what needed to happen. Not that I had anything clean anyway. I knocked on the door and Tavarius opened it. He smiled.

“I’m glad you decided to come back,” he said with absolute honesty. He held up my backpack.

I took it. For a moment I had the option of just turning and walking away. I thought about it. I really did. But desperation can be an ugly, ugly thing. I gulped again, swallowing my misgivings.

“I’d… I’d like to talk about the… uh… freeuse thing. The specifics.”

He shrugged. “Sure. Come on in.” He turned and walked into the apartment, leaving me an opening. I could come in, shut the door, or not even shut the door. But I’d left enough messages on Shelly’s phone, telling her where I was and what I was doing, that if anything untoward happened the police would know where to come. Besides, that wasn’t the vibe I got from Tavarius, Jason, or Luis. They weren’t predators. At least, not that kind. Perverts, absolutely. But predators? Nah.

They were sitting just the way they were that morning. Jason and Luis were on the sofa, a space between them making their non-physical relationship even clearer, now that I knew what was going on. Tavarius took the love seat, which left me the easy chair.

“Thanks for coming back,” Jason said. “Honestly. You are really cute.”

I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I wasn’t comfortable with compliments. Around Shelly I was the wallflower, the second choice. Or invisible. I mean, I had a round baby face, short bobbed brown hair, and dressed like I got my clothes at Goodwill.

Which, in all fairness, was actually true.

I bit my lip. “Can we please go over the specifics?”

Jason nodded. “Well, put simply, while you are here at the apartment, we require full access to your body at all times. We ask that you wear nothing, unless given permission, while in the apartment. Any three of us could engage in sexual use of you, without requiring permission, at our leisure.”

I bit my lip. “I have to be naked? All the time?”

Jason smiled. “Well, when you are here at the apartment,” he said.

I pursed my lips. “What if I get cold?”

Luis grinned. “One of us will warm you up. And you get control of the thermostat.”

I considered that. Talk about a win for womankind. Control of the thermostat? What self-respecting man would actually give that up?

“And this freeuse is limited to you three. No guests?”

Tavarius’ eyes widened. He glanced at the others. “No. Absolutely not. No guests.”

I bit my lip. “And no filming?”

Jason looked a little shocked. “Um… No. Unless you asked for it.” He shrugged. “I mean, if you wanted to start some online thing I don’t think any of us would object. We’d even help in the filming if you’d like.” He glanced at Tavarius who raised his hand with a smile.

“Film and Television major,” he said.

I gave him a little glare. “I’m not that kind of girl,” I assured him. Bad enough that I was considering freeuse. Becoming a mattress actress? Having nude videos of myself following me around for the rest of my life? No thank you.  “And this free use… it's limited to the apartment?”

“What do you mean?” Luis asked.

I leaned forward. “It means if I’m sitting in a dark corner of the student union and you happen to come up on me, you aren’t allowed to just push me over, pull down my pants, and take me.”

Again, shocked expressions. “The apartment only,” Jason said, only to pause thoughtfully. “Unless you give express permission.” He smiled. “Here that permission would be already granted.”

I leaned back in the easy chair. “What if I’m on my period?”

Tavarius shrugged. “Personal preference. But it doesn’t mean we can’t use your other holes.”

“I don’t do anal,” I said, setting a hard limit. The website said anything, at any time, anywhere, and I’d already limited the any time and any where conditions. Would they bite?

Tavarius nodded. “I can accept that.”

Jason and Luis both nodded. I relaxed. Or more accurately, my butt hole did.

“And what if I want to stop?” I asked.

“Stop?” Tavarius asked.

I nodded. “Yes. What if I don’t want to participate anymore?”

Jason stroked his chin. “Then you immediately start owing your share of the rent. Or you can move out.” He put his hand on his knee. “Taylor, you still have consent here. It’s just you’re giving it out in a sort of blanket statement.”

I took a deep breath, shocked I was even considering their little fantasy.

“This is all still academic though,” Jason continued. “Because until we see you naked, we aren’t officially offering you the special considerations.”

I looked up and the steel I felt at Shelly’s house suddenly went through me. My eyes narrowed. “Absolutely,” I declared, standing up. My hands grabbed the bottom of my hoodie and I started tugging it up, over my head. Then I said something that shocked them. “Pull em out, boys.”

The expression on their faces was almost beautiful. I tossed my hoodie aside, standing there in the worn out tee shirt, giving them the first real inkling of my bust size. “Well? Go on. If I’m going to get naked so you can check me out, then all three of you are going to fucking do it too. What if one of you has a thirty inch dick or something that will split me in half? I have to make sure you guys are clean and healthy.” I put my hands on my hips. “Or something like that.”

Tavarius just stared and for a moment, no one moved. I didn’t take a single other item of clothing off, standing there in my frumpy tee shirt and blue jeans and flats. Then Tavarius stood up. He gave me a respectful smile, and stripped.

Holy Mother of God.

I gulped. Tavarius was… um… an impressive specimen. He wasn’t so huge that I was going to need stitches afterwards, but there was a lot of him. And his muscles were sculpted. Honestly, think wrestler. The Olympic kind. He was compact and the idea of covering him in baby oil and running my fingers over every inch of his skin skipped across my brain. I think he liked my expression because he practically preened. So I peeled off my shirt. All three of them sort of stared in amazement, which seemed silly to me. I’m not fat or anything. But I’m not thin either. Shelly is thin. I’m… curvy. At the bust and hip. The bra wasn’t even sexy. It was off-white, utilitarian, and a little dingy, because Shelly had been washing my clothes in one lump batch. I didn’t take off the jeans, or the bra. Instead I looked at Luis and Jason.

“That’s one. Let’s go. I’m not taking another stitch off until you guys are all naked,” I declared.

Jason and Luis jumped up, shucking clothes left and right and suddenly they were also both nude in front of me. Jason looked good. Luis was… okay. Not bad. I stood there, three boys humbled and naked in front of me. I felt a thrill, exactly the wrong kind, right between my legs and I realized this was about to happen. I was about to be naked with three boys. Never in all of Shelly’s wildest dreams had she ever had sex with three guys at the same time. I blinked and kicked off my shoes. Barefoot, I peeled down the jeans, standing there in my panties and bra.

“Are you a virgin?” Jason suddenly asked.

I snorted. It had been over a year before. “No. Are you?” I asked.

He shook his head. “Birth control?”

I frowned. “I was. Went off it two months ago due to lack of funding.”

“Would you be willing to go back on?” He asked.

I shrugged. “If someone is paying for it,” I retorted. He looked at the others. Both nodded.

“So yes. Condoms until then.”

I nodded. “That would seem wise.” I pushed. “And if you’re planning on doing me raw, then no other partners for you guys. I don’t want to catch something.”

They all looked at each other, but then agreed.

So I took off my bra.

I didn’t realize how much a low pitched wolf whistle would affect me, but I felt a flush as Jason showed his appreciation for my bust with an audible tone. I couldn’t help smirking a little. Then I shucked out of my panties. I had a bush, but shaved lower, as was common for the culture. Luis raised his hand.

“Uh… yes?”

“Would you object to shaving if I used my tongue on you?”

I blinked. “You eat pussy?” In my experience that was pretty rare in a guy. Not that I had much experience. Shelly had told me that. Luis just grinned. I shrugged. “Sure I guess.”

We stood there, staring at each other. Finally I gave them a cocky look. “So? Do I pass? Am I good enough for free use?”

The boys looked at each other and I saw the looks of agreement on their faces. Finally Tavarius looked at me with a grin. “When can you move in?”

I took three steps forward, grabbed T by his cock, tugged him toward the couch, then reached out and managed to snag Luis. That left Jason in the middle.

“I just did.” I gave Tavarius and Luis both tiny squeezes. “Gentlemen, in the confines of this apartment, and under the limits we just discussed, you are free to use my mouth and pussy at any time. Freeuse.”

They all grinned. So I dropped the bomb. “Just one caveat. If I’m not getting enough cock, then don’t expect me to sit on my ass and beg. I’ll get aggressive. And take it.”

They all laughed. At least until I dropped to my knees, hands still full of cock, and without a word of warning, wrapped my mouth around Jason. He gasped, but then helped, his erection hard and full. I’m not exactly an experienced cock sucker, but I know the basics. Keep your teeth off of them. Suck and blow. And as Jason pumped his cock in and out, I stroked the two other boys, dicks in hand as it were.

It wasn’t long before it became a full-blown orgy. Luis moved first, pulling free from my hand. I felt him move behind me, then his hands were on my legs, pushing my knees apart. I gasped a second later as I realized he was sliding under me. Then his hands grabbed my hips, pulling me downward. Jason’s cock was still in my mouth when Luis’ tongue slid into my slit, stroking upward to my clitoris. A thrill of pleasure shot through me, mixing with the relief and the resulting sensation was beyond incredible. I wasn’t going to be homeless. I had a place. And I was in control of it. My chest heaved with emotion… or… holy shit. Was I about to cum?

I’d only had one lover at a time before. Cock in my mouth and hand, a tongue in my pussy, my body getting touched by three guys? Wow. Suddenly I was gagging on Jason’s jism, swallowing it down as best I could. Then Luis was getting out from under me, taking Jason’s place. Tavarius moved behind me, putting on a condom. I felt him enter, my eyes widening as my pussy stretched, taking his full length. I groaned, bucking back against him. Luis had pushed me to the edge, but Tavarius shoved me over it and I shuddered as the orgasm rocked through me.

But we didn’t stop. Not even after Tavarius pulled away, his huge cock softening, which allowed Luis to put on a condom and take his place. Jason used my mouth again, and when he was hard, took his turn screwing my brains out. Finally we lay in a heap, half on the couch, half on the floor. The coffee table had been pushed aside. I looked up, relaxed, streaked with boy cum, a little sweaty, feeling…

I didn’t know what I was feeling. Relief, but there was something else. A guilt. A sense of finality. I’d crossed a line, one that I had never considered violating before. I carefully locked away the cringing part of my brain. Because it wasn’t saying “freeuse.”

It said whore.
